Change can be stressful and worrying. I should know! However, we have a 'change' in Italy that is none of these. It is always exciting and fun. This is the 'change' of clothes. The time we put away our winter clothes and bring out or buy our summer ones.
Most of my friends have already done this. Gone are the thick woollens, the thick trousers and long sleeves. And outcomes the thin blouses, the shorts and of course the bikini ( although the later is not needed as I tend to wear nothing when I go on the beach nowadays!)
I have not made the change yet. And there is a good reason for this! Last week I was out in the sun feeling good and enjoying having ultra violet rays touching parts of me that had been hidden from the elements for months. But I knew that we were being lulled into a false sense of summer confidence. It is still April and the weather can still cool down. And it has!
Today has been sunny at times but not as hot as it was last week. And the forecast for this week is not great. Hence my decision to keep my warmer clothes on hand just in case I need to don them when I feel chilly!
Nonetheless, you can feel the sunrays getting warmer and you know it wont be long before we are boiling. And that is something to look forward to! I like it hot and so if anyone wants to get hot with me then just get in touch!
