It's good to be a slut! Prose for Pros 16

I have been doing a bit of research into the word 'slut'. I am often called this or the Italian equivalent during sex. The person using it is not saying that I am dirty, untidy or slovenly. Anyone who knows me will appreciate that I am the opposite of all these 3 terms. What they are saying is that I look as if I love sex. And I do!  

What's the problem?

I am a woman who enjoys sex. And if a slut is someone who finds sexual exercises fun then I am a SLUT. Here is the definition.

Although the ultimate origin of the word "slut" is unknown, it first appeared in Middle English in 1402 as slutte (AHD), with the meaning "a dirty, untidy, or slovenly woman".^[5] Even earlier, Geoffrey Chaucer used the word sluttish (c. 1386) to describe a slovenly man; however, later uses appear almost exclusively associated with women.^[5] The modern sense of "a sexually promiscuous woman" dates to at least 1450.^[5]

Another early meaning was "kitchen maid or drudge" (c. 1450), a meaning retained as late as the 18th century, when hard knots of dough found in bread were referred to as "slut's pennies".^[5] A notable example of this use is Samuel Pepys's diary description of his servant girl as "an admirable slut" who "pleases us mightily, doing more service than both the others and deserves wages better" (February 1664).^[6] "Slut" and "slutishness" occur in Shakespeare's comedy As You Like It, written in 1599 or 1600.^[7] In the nineteenth century, the word was used as a euphemism in place of "bitch" in the sense of a female dog

The word 'slut' sounds ugly and it is often used to put people down and to make them feel ugly.

 However, there are many women nowadays who are embracing the word and enjoying being called one.

 And this can be both scary and exciting for men! A sexually aroused and wanton woman is not easily kept at home in the kitchen.

It has often been said to me that I am an escort because I love sex. This is rubbish. All women given freedom to explore their body and to explore their fantasies love sex. They love sex as much as men or even more so! Remember it is possible for a woman to satisfy a number of men but not vica versa!

And here is something I wrote on the train yesterday, which emphasises my point of view here.
