Clockwork Orange is a wonderful film and it seems strange to think that it was withdrawn from viewing to UK audiences for 27 years. Kubrick like all geniuses had strange quirks and its withdrawal was one of these. Nonetheless, even today it is a poignant comment on youth culture and violence.

Now why am I telling you about this in my blog?????? Well it is more to do with a dream I had the other night. Me being a superhero etc. I mentioned this in a previous blog.

Well, in Burgess's book the violent lads were given, by the authorities, a bizarre treatment to prevent them using violence again. The lads were mad on Beethoven and in particular Beethoven's 9th. So they were given drugs to make them vomit whenever they heard this music. I get a bit like this with Celine Dion but without the drugs!

Now in my dream I am a superhero working for the government. My work is with violent criminals and my job is to make them less violent or even better non-violent!

Now in my dream I was made up really sexy, whilst the inmate was given a mild sedative along with viagra. They thus were quite sedate but rampant!
