The oldest profession?????

Prostitution is often quoted as the 'oldest profession'. It is an interesting combination 'oldest' and 'profession'. First of all, in the biblical sense, in the beginning there was only Adam and Eve. They must have been hunters, and builders, doctors and midwifes.Eve also must have been a good salesperson to entice Adam to take the apple!

 It would be hard to see Adam going behind Eve's back and having some relaxing sex as who would he have done it with. Eve's shadow?

In the long past, keeping food in your belly was the prime aim of the day. It is very hard to think about sex when you are hungry. I am Italian, I love food and I cannot focus on anything when my stomach is turning!
So the professions of hunting, edcucating, cooking, protecting etc must pre-date prostitution.

It is then quite interesting to consider when prostitution really began. As prostitution it is often seen as sex for money does this mean that it could not have existed before money? Or do we have to exclude money and think of sex for gifts. You get a fuck and I get a dead rabbit? And does it always have to be sex? I have often had games with men where sex does not take place.

The other thing that really baffles me when I hear the expression is the use of 'profession'. Prostitution and escorting is considered by many people to be a very inferior lifestyle. However, a profession is often considered something positive. A profession is better than a job. What did God make cunts for?
