I am not one to forget faces or voices. I have skills in this area. This morning, for example, I had a call from someone who visited me 4 years ago. I remembered his voice and when he walks up my drive later today will recall his face quickly.
However, I do forget my blogs sometime. Last night I spent a fun and really enjoyable evening with a man from the USA. Santa Fe infact.
My meetings definitely improve my geography. He was considerate, kind and great company. We met in his lovely hotel and he greeted me with champagne as we sat on his balcony and watched the sea.
The man shocked me in that he came to me not from my adverts but from my blog. And in particular a blog where I used Leonard Cohen music, see link above. Now, I could recall something about this blog but not much. He was much more aware of it than I was.
Anyway, this morning I re-visited the blog and also realised that I write a lot.
Well, last night was really enjoyable on two fronts. I spent some time with a very entertaining man and also learnt that my blogs travel the Atlantic. So when I tap away on my computer it is not just a personal thing but is read and is enjoyed across the seas. Wow!
So, I would like to send a very warm thank you to someone who is probably winging his way westwards at this moment.
